Position: Health and Safety Officer (Permanent / Project Focused)

Location: Ajman/Dubai

As a Health and Safety Officer at Tafaseel BPO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our employees at Tafaseel BPO

Responsibilities:

·       Co-develop, implement and maintain comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures that comply with regulations.

·       Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver health and safety training programs, including new employee orientation, to ensure awareness and compliance with safety protocols.

·       Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses, analysing root causes and recommending preventive measures to mitigate future risks.

·       Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training activities, and prepare relevant reports for management.

·       Stay updated with current health and safety regulations and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations for enhancing the safety culture.

·       Conduct regular audits and site inspections to assess compliance with health and safety standards, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring timely corrective actions.

·       Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on health and safety issues, including adherence to safe work practices.

·       Ensure compliance and promote best practices.

·       Participate in incident response activities, including emergency preparedness and evacuation drills, and provide guidance during emergencies.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

·       Proven experience working as a Health and Safety Officer for 2-3 years, preferably in the BPO

·       In-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.

·       Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify potential hazards and recommend effective preventive measures.

·       Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence employees at all levels.

·       Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records and documentation.

·       Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·       Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) or similar are desirable.

·       Proficiency in using relevant health and safety software and tools.
